A Range of Ski Holidays in Europe
A ski holiday in Europe is ideal as there are many areas where you can enjoy winter sports with truly exceptional ski conditions and terrain. For a long time the only ski destinations were Switzerland, Austria, France, Italy and Andorra. But today you can find great skiing where ever you find snow.
The most popular ski destination of them all is the French Alps. France has close proximity to many countries and is famous for its ski chalets. Switzerland contains some of the most rugged, highest and toughest runs found in the Alps. Skiing in the Swiss Alps is a most for those serious skiers and snowboarders. There are also many intermediate slopes to be found in the country but new skiers should beware.
Skiing in Italy is generally less expensive than France, Switzerland and Austria because skiing is not the first thing that comes to mind. However Italy does have a section of the Alps at its northern border. The skinning in Italy is perfect for beginners and intermediates. Italy’s ski areas also have the most runs in Europe with the Sella Rhonda in the Dolomites. Italian ski resorts are a blend of the old and new creating a fantastic holiday experience.
