Cuban Cigars experience enhanced
July 29, 2008
A nice Scotch is an essential kicker required when you are smoking a Cuban cigar. This combination is just as essential as tomato sauce on pasta. If you ever run into real cigar aficionados, you will see that they are always having their Cuban cigars with a glass of scotch quite nicely placed on the side. A popular choice (At least for me) is good old “Glenn” brand of Scotch. I’ve found that it works with literally any Cuban cigar I have.
You should note, however, that the cigar and the spirit should work together, neither one over whelming the other. This is easier said than done, because like cigars, digestifs can be different and varied. While a certain cigar may seem an ideal match for a articular Scotch, the same cigar might be lost if it were paired with a lighter, more elegant cognac. But, as we emphasized about cigars, you should keep in mind this is a matter of personal taste.
Everyone has their own preference and that is why this applies to you. Nobody knows what your personal preference is except you my friend. You are a unique individual with specific style and liking. At the end of the day, the only person that needs to be satisfied is you. As I mentioned earlier, Scotch distilled in Scotland simply deserves my attention so far. Remember, that is what I’m suggesting, my goal is to guide you to what works for you. Which is the best Cuban cigar and Scotch combination that will satisfy your palette.
You are probably thinking which combination is right for you. By combination I mean which Cuban cigar goes with which Scotch. Although this is a personal decision, all depending on what kind of taste you prefer. If you like strong cigars, go for light tasting Scotch. Yes Scotch in general have a strong taste but try the lightest version. It’s almost like a very sophisticated balancing act but when you do find the right combo, it becomes a beautiful thing.
Experimenting with your Cuban cigars and Scotch is what it’s all about. This is just the best way to learn and to truly find what you are looking for. The rule of thumb here is that if your cigar is strong, go with a lighter Scotch. If your cigar is somewhat mild, than you are way better of with a strong cigar. Take your time as you try different Scotchs and Cigars and soon you’ll have your very own perfect mix.
Cuban cigars with Family

Me and Cuban cigars go back like baseball and Babe Ruth. We are just meant to be and I have a history that can back that claim up really good. In fact, it will guarantee that I am meant to share my love of Cuban cigars with everybody. You see, I came to this planet through a family who has been smoking Cuban cigars for like four generations. I must say that it truly is a blessing to be part of a family like that. The word unique can describe me fully and especially my Cuban cigar smoking situation.
I have to tell you, I got started with Cuban cigar smoking at a very young age. Me and my little cousins we got started smoking Cuban cigars in our teenage years and have never looked back. We don’t smoke cigarettes, just Cuban cigars. Not a bad way of doing things I must say. It’s fun, you get to hang out with your family and friends, and just a have a great time over all. Isn’t that what life is all about, great times all around?
Cuban cigars are something that is absolutely necessary to make good times even better. I say get your family and friends around, give them each a Cuban cigar and watch the crazy party start. The great thing about Cuban cigars is that it automatically leads into some great conversations. One of my favorite all time Cuban cigar is the Cohiba and boy when we break this brand out, everyone seems to love it.
You see it was everybody who did it. By did it I mean smoke Cuban cigars. It wasn’t something just for my father or grand father, all my uncles and their kids they all got together and had a merry old time. I guess that is what Cuban cigars do, they bring everyone together and you simply puff and chat. I believe their is a song based on Cuban cigars called ‘Puff n chat’ but we’ll get into that some other time. The point is when you have Cuban cigars and family around, it’s good times baby.
When it comes to Cuban cigars, especially at our family Cuban cigar gatherings, you know everything is possible. I literally mean that.
Family and Cuban cigars

Me and Cuban cigars go back like baseball and Babe Ruth. We are just meant to be and I have a history that can back that claim up really good. In fact, it will guarantee that I am meant to share my love of Cuban cigars with everybody. You see, I came to this planet through a family who has been smoking Cuban cigars for like four generations. I must say that it truly is a blessing to be part of a family like that. The word unique can describe me fully and especially my Cuban cigar smoking situation.
So you are probably thinking how I got into Cuban cigar smoking or at least when did I have my first one? To tell you the truth, I actually don’t remember which was my exact Cuban cigar but one thing is for sure, it was at a fairly young age. We had our first Cuban cigar smoking session at around the age of twelve. Yes some might think that is fairly young age but you must understand, that Cuban cigar smoking is not really smoking.
Yes one thing is undeniable about Cuban cigars is the smell. The mixtures of chocolate, pepper and vanilla can pierce through anyone’s heart and soul. You have to understand I was just a kid back than plus watching my whole family get together over a few Cuban cigars just made it extra special. I guess you can say it was a very fine excuse for everyone to come together and have a great time.
However, Cuban cigar smoking wasn’t something I observed just between my dad and grandpa. It was something that all the boys did in our family including a few occasional puffs by the women every now and than. Every Tuesday’s and Thursdays Uncle Johnny and Sean will drop by with their family and kids and they would run off to the living room with glasses of Scotch. Soon they would be all siting around in wooden chairs with some light music playing in the background going on and and about their days.
I remember each of them had their own favorite brand. If they shared the brand, they definitely liked a different model more than the other. Like Uncle Eric and Uncle Sam loved the Cohiba brand, but they both had a different model that they favored. Uncle Eric liked the Cohiba Siglo 6 while Uncle Same loved the Cohiba Robusto. It’s amazing how none of the family members agreed on one particular brand model.
