Going for a London Flight with a Bomb in my luggage

by Craig Walker

After the security issues at airports, security at all airports in the UK has been raised. So when people check-in for their London flights they are asked a few simple security questions. After all security and peoples safety is very important.

Did you pack your luggage yourself? This is usually the first question you get asked. This is to make sure that you know what is in the case and to make sure someone else didn’t put anything else in.

This question is asked to see if there was the possibility of anyone putting anything in your cases without your knowledge.

Even though there have been many well publicized security issues at airports throughout the world and in the UK people still think it is amusing to say ‘there is a bomb in my bag’

People soon cease to see the funny side when they and the other comedians that say this to airport staff and are arrested and later appear in court. Surprisingly this happens regularly at airports throughout the UK. The airport staff are all instructed to take these comments seriously.

Jail sentences are not uncommon and at best a fine and community service is the normal result for people who make these stupid comments.

Once a bomb comment has been made aircraft and airports have to be evacuated which can cause a lot of disruption and make people miss connecting flights or suffer long delays.

Make sure you keep your luggage in a safe place so that nobody can put anything in it that there should not be in your case and hope that nobody makes a stupid comment and causes your flight to be delayed.
