iBiza money saving tips
Here’s how you can save money on your iBiza holiday
If you are planning a holiday to iBiza then here’s how you can cut a few corners on the costs and make those Euros go a little further.
1. If you are prepared to buy now and snap up a bargain on you flight, car hire or hotel room then book online. Online travel arrangements can save you a lot of money. You compare the prices of the flight, car rental or boat charter and decide which is best for you.
2. Eat where the locals eat and save money. You’ll also get a true flavor of the island. There are some great little workers caf’s hidden away on the island. Carls Chicken in Santa Eularia is also great value for money. Don’t waste money in a fancy restaurant that is designed to rip off the tourists. Ask a local to recommend a cheap place to eat and you could pay half of what you’d pay in posh restaurant.
3. Rent a Villa or a Condo Instead of a Hotel Room – Most people don’t know that you can rent an apartment, a small villa, or a condo in Ibiza instead of staying in a hotel or resort. There are lots of private owners that rent out property to tourists. After the cost of the airfare the largest expense of a vacation is a hotel. Renting an apartment instead of staying in a hotel for the length of your trip can save a lot of money. Also if you are staying in an apartment of villa you can buy groceries at a local market and cook your meals instead of eating out at every meal which can save a lot of money.
4. Jump on a bus – Don’t rent a car. iBiza has a great air conditioned bus service to all the major destinations. Why rent a car only to leave it unused all day in a car park while you sit on the beach.
5. Stop at a Local Market for Snacks and Drinks – When you’re out exploring Ibiza you will get hungry and thirsty. Most resorts and hotels charge a lot of money for meals and drinks, especially alcoholic drinks. So if you’re going to be out enjoying the many activities that Ibiza has to offer stop at a local market and pick up some bottled water and other drinks and some snacks. You can save a lot of money by buying beverages and snacks ahead of time so that you don’t have to pay high prices for them later on at a resort or attraction.
