The Sights and Sounds of Benidorm
Enclosed by beautiful mountains on the west and boasts of lovely beaches on the east; this city is located on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea and the southeast region of Spain. A town that used to be an industrial working city, is now fast becoming as one of the tourist destinations on this side of the country. Whatever the reason of visiting, traveling to Alicante Spain is a pure breeze as the place is very traveler friendly with its vast choices of transportation.

There are several mode of transportation while traveling in Alicante. Aside from car hire services that you can use within the city limits, going around can be done thru walking which is also a good form of exercise. Aside from the train, taxi and public bus are available coming and going to Plaza del Mar and to the airport.
Several towns are also accessible by taking the tram and trenet the very well known railroad system of Alicante. One of these towns is the city of Torrevieja best known for its salt production. This town is about 50km south of Alicante. There are many sights to see in this city which includes the Church of Immaculate Conception, Sea and salt museum (museo del mar y sal). The harbor with its Torrevieja hotels, fishing boats and sports boats amidst the back drop of the sea is a sight to behold during sunset.
Benidorm is like Torrevieja, which is very abundant in British and Irish inspired communities. This city is about 45 km northeast of Alicante, a town that is most famous for its nightlife, lovely beaches and skyscrapers. Unlike the rest of the other towns located in the region, Benidorm has only a few spots left of its old past like the three streets namely Santa Fez, San Lorenzo and San Vicente which can be found in the heart of the city.
Staying overnight or a few days of vacation in Alicante will definitely require hotel accommodations, which is not very hard as the city provides you with wide arrays of choices from its high rise hotels located in the heart of the city and villas along the splendid coastline offers not online breathtaking view but easy access to the beach.
